Carry On // Bay Area

Tyler and I are headed out to the Bay Area for our annual visit to see my sister's, and I can't wait! We always have the BEST time on this trip. Coffee + shopping + sunshine - what more could you want?

As always, I try to pack as lightly as possible. We'll be gone for 5 days, and my bag may be my most minimal attempt ever. To be honest, I'm not worried at all. It's CALIFORNIA! If I don't have something I need, I guess I will just HAVE to go shopping. :) The important thing to remember about Oakland, San Francisco, and the surrounding northern California areas is that lots of light layers are key. The lingering fog can drastically change the temperature from one hour to the next, so I always come prepared with a jacket and scarf - regardless of the current conditions.

You could spend years in the Bay Area and still not see everything. Instead of running around trying to do it all in one trip, we like to visit a few of our favorite places as well as something brand new each time. This year, we're venturing down to Santa Cruz/San Jose/maybe Big Sur one day. One of our new favorite coffee roasters, Verve, is in Santa Cruz so we are excited to visit in person.
