Garden Defense

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. The weather around here was beautiful, so we spent most of our time outside. What about you? We're in the process of planning a "garden cage" in the backyard. Any guesses what it might be for? If you've been following along on the blog for a little while now, you know that our neighborhood has some CRAZY squirrels. And by crazy I mean complete savages. You can check out my fight with them to protect our pumpkins last fall in these posts - Part I, Part II, Part III.

We built raised planter beds for my garden last summer, and I didn't get a single tomato thanks to those pesky squirrels, so this year we're fighting back. We brainstormed a number of options, but ultimately decided to go with a full-on garden cage. No one is eating my garden fresh veggies but ME this year.

We stopped by Home Depot yesterday afternoon to pick up some supplies. It turned out to be quite the interesting car ride home....
