Pareto x My Simply Simple
I was first introduced to Pareto and its co-founders, Jess and Olivia, in February 2021. They had recently launched their second wardrobe addition, Your Perfect Crewneck Sweater, and I was blown away by the brand they were building. They reached out to me asking if I would be interested in working together, and we’ve been building not only a partnership but a friendship ever since.
“At Pareto, we are all about building a wardrobe of fewer, more purposeful pieces. The brand was founded on the concept that women wear 20% of their closets, 80% of the time. One piece at a time, we are making the best version of the clothing you actually wear. Perfect fit. Purposeful details. Pure traceability.”

I have been honored to work with Jess, Olivia, and the Pareto brand over the past three years. The work they are doing is unlike any I’ve encountered. They take a “farm-to-closet” approach in which they work directly with their partners at every stage of the supply chain. Decisions made at each stage of the manufacturing process affect the quality of the final piece. Most brands only focus on the sewing stage. Working directly with partners throughout allows them to truly make the best version of the clothing you actually wear.
So when Olivia reached out to me in January 2024 asking if I would be interested in a product collaboration, I jumped at the opportunity. I never dreamed I would be involved in such a thing! It’s been such a fun project, and I’m so proud to have a teeny part in the amazing work Pareto is doing.
So without further ado, let me introduce you to:
Pareto x My Simply Simple
A timeless piece made to be worn and loved. Perfectly simple, endlessly versatile. If you’re familiar with Pareto, you may recognize their best selling T-Shirt Dress. I took Pareto’s namesake design and gave it a fresh new color - Rust Brown.
As a THANK YOU for being a part of the @mysimplysimple community, you have early pre-order access to the limited edition Pareto x My Simply Simple T-Shirt Dress in rust brown starting today, March 28. A small batch of these dresses have been made, so be sure to grab one if you’re in need of a versatile and timeless dress! The T-Shirt Dress will go live to the general public on Thursday, April 4.
The design process was so much fun. I actually went to my own closet, as well as the girls’ closets, for color inspiration. I wanted something that felt very organic, perfect for any season, and was universally flattering. I started picking pieces that I felt would be a good fit, and I was surprised to find a very consistent color palette come to life (above left). The t-shirt (above right) was one I found in a small shop in Palm Springs, CA last winter during a family trip to the desert. It is one of my absolute favorite finds, and it always reminds me of our wonderful trips to the desert to visit my sisters. I decided to use it as the jumping off point for the T-Shirt Dress custom shade.
Lots of emails, phone calls, and samples later, and we have a beautiful limited edition Pareto x My Simply Simple collaboration T-Shirt Dress. I still can’t believe it. Ha! The Rust Brown color is perfect. It’s such a unique blend of brown and red with hints of purple. I couldn’t love it more.
T-Shirt Dress pre-order for the @mysimplysimple community ends on 4/3, so be sure to grab one if you’re interested in this limited edition color!
Pareto’s signature pieces are 100% US-made as follows:
Grown in Lubbock, TX
Spun in Thomasville, NC
Knit in Canton, MA
Dyed in Shoemakersville, PA
Sewn in Vernon, CA
The supply chain for these collaboration dresses looks a little bit different because the dress is garment dyed, meaning the dress is cut & sewn in California first and then the dye is applied about 10 miles away in LA. It is 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton and a jersey fabric knit. AKA - It is incredibly soft, comfortable and timeless.
I am incredibly proud to work with Pareto, and I hope you enjoy this timeless piece for years to come.
For sizing reference, I am just shy of 5’4” and wear an XS in every Pareto piece I own. I’d say their sizing is very TTS for a classic look, but I wouldn’t hesitate to size up (especially in the tee, crewneck, etc.) if you wanted a slightly oversized fit.
